This lovely image has been doing the internet rounds lately.

Funny, I've had this National Geographic photo kicking around 

in my various studios for years and years... it's like an old friend.

The building's beautiful, but I also really love the colours and the 

composition of this photograph, and how the symmetry of the 

building is echoed by the two boys standing in the upper balcony

but in contrast to the flow of the kids playing ball at the bottom.  

It's wonderful, but I have no idea who the photographer is... 

- the little house -

The little house with the forest roof (17/4 ) reminded me

of  something else...  somewhere else...  something beautiful... 

I couldn't quite remember what that beautiful something was

...until just now

the beetle's house
